Activism and Education in revolutionary comics + graphic media Apprenticeship
A new media project that explores issues about educational equity in communities of color with comics, visual storytelling and graphic arts. As a collaborative team, participants will research, develop concepts and produce a multimedia comic zine with text and images using digital and traditional media. (This is a paid opportunity. There is no tuition fee for this project)
Oct. 23rd — Nov. 10th (3 weeks)
Monday — Thursday | 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
+ Saturday, Oct. 28th & Saturday, Nov. 4th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. +
Teaching Artist: Zeke Peña
Prerequisites: Application Required. 7th Grade and up, preference given to students with previous art experience!
