New Media

Working Classroom is proud to offer New Media programming for introductory, intermediate and conservatory level artists. We seek to enhance the abilities that youth from historically ignored communities already have in finding their voices, and sharing their stories through storytelling and time based art.

Please, have a look at our Workshop Schedule for more information about workshops!

COOKING FOR GENERATIONS: Stories of Tradition and Love from New Mexico Kitchens, 2016

On October 6th, 2016, Working Classroom Conservatory Level Students/Interns were celebrated by community members from Delicious NM, Farm to Table and Working Classroom during a premiere screening of their work Cooking for Generations: Stories of Tradition and Love from New Mexico Kitchens. The students learned about photography, video and audio recording and editing as tools in creating thoughtful video documentaries on the topic of local people and local food. Thanks to the Kellog Fellowship, guest artists Adria Malcolm and Michael Lopez, Delicious New Mexico and all of the families interviewed in this project!

MANDY’S FARM: Personal Space, 2015

In 2015, Conservatory Student Carlos Gabaldon collaborated with Mandy’s Farm and Working Classroom in order to produce a training video about personal space, and what it can mean to those who are differently abled, or anybody , for that matter, who is sharing a space at any given time.
