Call for Teaching Artists!
Working Classroom seeks dynamic, experienced and creative artists of all disciplines (visual art, theater, new media, and photography)! Teaching Artists support a group of 12 – 15 middle or high school students in creating high quality, contemporary, thought-provoking art. Workshops may take place at our Youth Art Center located in downtown Albuquerque or at partner school sites – South Valley Academy, Native American Community Academy or ACE Leadership High School. We hire artists who demonstrate a commitment to working on art that engages with social justice, community and contemporary aesthetics and artists who have experience working with youth from underserved communities.
