THEATER WORKSHOPS

 

Solving for X: The Education Project

Created by our very own Theater Ensemble in collaboration with Milta Ortiz, of Borderlands Theater and Scott Barrow, of Tectonic Theater Project, Solving for X explores educational equity and is inspired by interviews, research and theatrical experimentation!

Clowning

Students learn to create their own clown. Focuses on releasing and exploring our impulses in order to play in the world around us.

Prerequisites: 6th grade & above!

 
 

VISUAL ART WORKSHOPS

 

Photography

Students will have the opportunity to work with a local artist and learn about portraiture in photography.

Prerequisites: 9th grade and above!

 

Printmaking

Students will learn about relief printmaking, using a press and creating art with a message. Deborah Jojola is an esteemed local artist and educator.

NEW MEDIA WORKSHOPS

 

Cooking for Generations: Stories of Tradition & Love from New Mexico Kitchens

Interns collaborate with W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellows to create documentary ‘food portraits’ featuring local cuisine and local people.

Prerequisites: Prior New Media experience and by invitation!

 

Advanced Animation

Students explore short, experimental narrative through hand-drawn animation and storytelling.
